Review
Assassin's Creed is an action game for Windows, XBOX 360 and PS3. The game deals, among other things, with time travel. It is not the type of time travel that we are used to. Instead, it is more of a mental, inner journey to the past of the main character's ancestors. You play him, the main character. He is a normal guy who is brought to a lab so that some scientists can figure out their past ancestor's history. The ancestor we deal with is an Assassin, who lived in the years where Jerusalem was a newly-founded city. In the game, your goal is to hunt several targets down and kill them. You have to be conscious about everything, though. You can't simply approach your target and shoot him. No, you have got to be careful not to be spotted, and then, you have to run from the scene so you don't get caught. The main character travels from city to city, usually riding a horse, which is fun, but gets old as the game progresses. There are several weapons that you can use, which are unlocked throughout the game. The graphics are absolutely stunning and the fights are fun, mainly because you are given a great control's scheme to use. Fights are not random. You can block incoming attacks and counter them. And sometimes, you will find yourself finding several enemies. At first, they don't attack all at once, but later on the game, they will be serious about inflicting some pain on you. The game is really long, too. You can expect to be playing this for hours and hours non-stop. Although the game gets boring after a lot of repetitive missions and long journeys, it proves to be fun and challenging. The eye-candy graphics are sure to catch your eye for a long time too. |
